Vision for Education are working on behalf of a welcoming village primary school to recruit a committed EYFS Teaching Assistant in Longton, near Preston, Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner to secure a long-term role within a nurturing and supportive school environment.
This EYFS Teaching Assistant position in Longton, near Preston is available ASAP from February 2026 and is offered on an ongoing long-term supply basis, with opportunities for the right person to continue for the remainder of the 2025/26 academic year.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant in Longton, near Preston to work as a Key Worker within Nursery and Reception. The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant in Longton, near Preston will support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
This EYFS Teaching Assistant role in Longton, near Preston includes providing targeted support for two children with SEND who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to implement individual support strategies, promote inclusion and support learning through play-based activities.
