Your Key Responsibilities
6. Manage and control individual capital expenditure related projects (scope, time, cost) using project management tools as defined within department
7. Drive technical improvement activities as prioritized by Production Management and defined by Process Engineering (scrap, efficiency, utilization, quality, cost, cycle time)
8. Support small step improvements related to quality, cost, logistics and motivation
9. Participate in process troubleshooting
10. Reduce direct expenses by standardizing and optimizing abrasives and consumable tooling
11. Create process flows and PFMEAs and ensure minimum yearly review and actions to reduce RPN
12. Participate in the development and optimization of machine parameters
13. During implementation of new projects, provide necessary information to Technical Improvement, Quality and Production departments to update relevant documentation (TPM, CP, OIC etc)
14. Actively participate in capital expansion projects (launches)
15. Support efforts related to workshops (5S, Setup, TPM), CIP, product quality, scrap reduction and productivity
16. Support Quality department efforts related to customer concerns and component quality
17. Support development of standard practices for similar processes
18. Support creation of process troubleshooting sheets for machining and assembly processes
Your Qualifications
19. Education
Currently enrolled at a Post-Secondary Educational Institution in an Engineering program (preference for Materials, Mechanical or Mechatronic) Eligible/enrolled in a 16-month internship program with your educational institution
