We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Lead to join our team at Royal London. As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing the design, development, testing, and smooth operation of our applications.
You will deliver development and test services to our business, responsible for tool selection, vendor management, and the technical roadmap for one or more Royal London applications, ensuring continuous improvement in availability, currency, and commerciality. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving to contribute to our organisation's growth and success.
This role is part of the Engagement Services CRM/D365 applications team, delivering scalable solutions to both customers and employees. You will have the opportunity to work on various initiatives across D365, collaborating with stakeholders across the group.

About the role
* Provide problem management and incident resolution (production support) for the platform.
* Build trusting relationships with key stakeholders and internal customers.
* Offer expertise on methods and tools needed to deliver change via the D365 platform.
* Ensure technical upgrades and maintenance are scheduled, working closely with relevant third-party vendors.
* Manage team performance against key deliverables and quality benchmarks.
* Oversee third-party vendor performance against contractual obligations and SLAs, and identify opportunities to leverage new platform capabilities for added value.
* Contribute to financial planning and portfolio shaping activities, including leading recruitment efforts for permanent and flexible resources.
About you
* Broad knowledge of IT, specifically CRM and D365, with expertise in application development and design best practices.
* Experience managing technical teams, including workload and people management.
* Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially Azure.
* Ability to solve complex problems using specialist knowledge.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and multitask effectively.
* Experience leading technical evaluations successfully.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
