A well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex water and wastewater schemes as part of a long-term, secured framework workload.
The business has a strong track record within the water sector, delivering upgrades and capital improvement works to live treatment assets. This is a site-based role, with the first project located in Chester, offering stability, continuity of work, and the opportunity to take ownership of technically challenging schemes within a structured and well-supported environment.
The Role
Reporting into the Contracts / Senior Management team, you will take full responsibility for the safe, commercial and operational delivery of water and wastewater projects, including:

Overall project management from pre-construction through to completion

Managing site teams, engineers and subcontractors
*
Planning, programming and resourcing works
*
Overseeing HSEQ compliance on live operational assets
*
Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement
*
Working closely with commercial teams to manage cost, change and risk
*
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

Mechanical, electrical and civils interfaces
*
Live operational environments
*
Process upgrades and associated infrastructure works
About You
*
Proven experience working as a Project Manager within the water or utilities sector
*
Strong background delivering water or wastewater treatment projects
*
Experience working on live treatment works or operational assets
*
Commercially and contractually aware
*
Confident managing client interfaces and multidisciplinary teams
*
Previous experience delivering works for United Utilities is highly desirable
