Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care
Location: Burnley
Salary: £28,000 – £36,550 per annum (plus bonuses and sleep-in allowance averaging £3,300 per year)
Hours: Full-time, day and night shifts with overtime and weekend availability
Contract: Permanent
Essential Requirements

Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and challenging behaviours and/or learning difficulties
*
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
*
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
*
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and person-centred support
*
Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
Desirable:
*
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
*
Knowledge of care planning systems
*
Supervisory experience
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a brand-new therapeutic children’s home in Burnley. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where children and young people can thrive.
As a Team Leader, you will:

Supervise and support residential childcare staff in delivering high standards of care
*
Act as Key Worker for young people, supporting their social, educational, and personal development
*
Assist with care planning, reviews, and record keeping
*
Manage and implement behaviour management strategies
*
Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted standards and organisational policies
*
Support health, safety, and safeguarding at all times
