Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Leyland Length of Role: Until July 2026 Pay Rate: 13.75 – 14.50 per hour Setting: Mainstream Primary A welcoming primary school in Leyland is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking for someone with direct or transferrable experience supporting children who present challenging behaviour, and who can build trust, consistency and positive routines. This role involves working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team to help the pupil engage with learning, regulate emotions and develop confidence. You will play a key part in creating a safe, structured and nurturing environment that enables the child to thrive both academically and socially. Candidates with backgrounds in youth work, care, sports coaching, alternative provision or behaviour support are strongly encouraged to apply.
