Summary of Job Description:
The UK & Ireland Medical Affairs Operations Manager, provides a seamless link between internal teams, external service providers and health professionals, to ensure medical projects are delivered on time and executed compliantly.
Provide an expert and autonomous project management service for all stakeholders, in the delivery of Medical Communication Projects
Drive review of materials using Veeva Vault
Communicate effectively with KOLs, internal stakeholders and third party providers
Experienced in Medical Communication projects including advisory boards, symposia, round table discussions
Subject Matter Expert for financial management for internal audits or regulator inspections
Continually improving processes working with the Medical Affairs and Cross-functional teams
ABPI trained professional completing projects in a timely and complaint manner
Major Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight
Manage and co-ordinate daily medical operations, including round table-discussions, advisory board meetings, videos, medical booths, disease awareness campaigns etc.
Status tracking and reporting to Affiliate management
Localize Global MSL materials using Veeva Vault system
Liaise with third party vendors for development of materials
Liaise with KOLs and healthcare experts in specific projects
Technology and systems
Competent in technology and systems including Veeva Vault, SAP, Veeva CRM
Process improvement
Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows
Interdepartmental co-ordination
Liaise between teams (Marketing, medical, clinical operations etc.) to optimize collaboration and project delivery
Budget & cost control
Assist in developing and managing budgets from third party providers including medical education agencies, AV companies etc.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Compliance & Quality
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, licensing requirements and internal policies
Other
Management of meetings as and when required
Provides operational support as needed for the Medical team

Project Management Skills desirable or proven experience of undertaking an undergraduate project requiring these skills
Ability to understand pharmaceutical and medical terminology
Training or customer facing role experience desirable
Computer and software knowledge like MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share-point)
Education:
Science degree essential (e.g. Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Biology, Pharmacy)
or other degree accepted if worked in pharmaceutical company or other healthcare related setting.
