Overview:
Art Play London is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our vibrant venue dedicated to promoting creativity and art in the community.
The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about art and creativity, with a strong background in hospitality and management. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction, and leading our team to achieve financial targets and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all aspects of staff management, including scheduling, hiring, training, and conducting staff meetings to ensure high levels of satisfaction and performance.
* Manage stock inventory efficiently, avoiding ad-hoc purchases and ensuring that stock levels meet the operational needs.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining high safety and health standards across the venue.
* Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate promotional activities, both in-house and online, to increase public engagement and revenue.
* Monitor financial performance, working towards till targets and generating financial reports for senior management.
* Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and overall presentation of the venue, addressing any maintenance or electrical issues promptly.
* Handle customer complaints and feedback, utilizing insights to improve services and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Promote a culture of teamwork and creativity among staff members, encouraging innovation and dedication.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Arts Management, or a related field is preferred.
* Proven experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.- Strong organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
* Excellent communication abilities and a knack for fostering positive relationships.
* A genuine interest in art, creativity, and contributing to a vibrant community space.
* Experience in financial management and compliance with health and safety regulations.
