Job Summary
The Adult Learning Disability (ALD) directorate in North Yorkshire and York locality of TEWV comprises four community teams based in York, Scarborough, Knaresborough, and Northallerton. The service is developing a Community Intensive Support Team (IST) based in York covering North Yorkshire, York, and Selby.
This post provides input into the Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale area, based in Scarborough, commissioned by the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership. Responsibilities include managing referrals, providing advice, and working with partners across primary care, local authorities, and voluntary sectors. The post is a well-established internal transfer opportunity.
Main duties
Based at Systems House, Clifton Moor, York, covering North York, Easingwold, and Pocklington. The team collaborates well with local mental health services. The role involves clinics, home visits, and inpatient admissions under Greenlight arrangements, with access to beds at Bank Fields Court, Middlesbrough.

* Qualifications (Essential): MB BS or equivalent, GMC registration with license.
Desirable: Higher degrees, MRCPsych, Approved Clinician, Section 12 status.
* Clinical Knowledge & Skills (Essential): Wide specialty knowledge, excellent communication, decision-making, legal duties.
Desirable: Sub-specialist experience within NHS or similar.
