We’re looking for a dynamic Marketing Executive to create content, build relationships, and drive meaningful marketing across our 12 branches. Rawlings Opticians & Hearing Care have looked after generations of families eyecare throughout Hampshire and Surrey since 1895. In recent years we have also expanded into hearing care. To maintain our reputation, high standards of external communication are required. You will report to the Marketing Director and Marketing Co‑ordinator and exercise discretion regarding business matters. You will build relationships with branch managers and their teams, local business organisations, and attend occasional meetings and events outside normal working hours.
Role Description
The Marketing Executive will support the delivery of our full marketing plan, contributing across digital, social, print, in‑branch materials, events, and local outreach. You will take day‑to‑day responsibility for planning, creating, and delivering social media content and support wider marketing initiatives at every level. This role involves regular contact with staff across all branches, gathering information, responding to requests, and proactively seeking content. Travel within the region is required.
Social Media Management
* Support and further develop the social media plan
* Design posts and write captions across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
* Schedule all social media content
* Report on performance and suggest improvements
* Support the creation and reporting of paid social campaigns
Content Creation
* Produce content including videos, blogs, editorials, and other written material
* Request and gather content from branches and staff when required
* Implement approved content plans across all channels
In‑Branch POS & Print Materials
* Plan and design in‑branch posters and other POS materials
* Manage poster delivery and ensure displays are up to date
* Create marketing collateral and support delivery to deadlines
Website & SEO Support
* Support SEO activity by identifying opportunities, planning updates, and requesting content
* Assist in implementing SEO‑related content improvements
General Marketing Activity
* Help plan and deliver wider marketing initiatives throughout the year
* Work with suppliers, negotiating where appropriate
* Identify new marketing opportunities and contribute ideas
Events & Local Activity
* Identify key events throughout the year and assist in planning and delivery
* Work with branch managers on local marketing opportunities, including advertising
Email Marketing
* Create email templates and support email campaign activity
Requirements
* At least one year’s experience in a social media marketing role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good organisational skills and capacity to manage a busy workload
* Experience keeping track and measuring enquiries using Google Analytics
* Copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
Desired Skills
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
* Willingness to expand knowledge and experience
* Willingness to learn and adopt new skills, sharing general office duties and administration
* Willingness to travel within the UK
* An interest in eye care/eyewear/hearing care and fashion
Qualifications
* Business or marketing‑related qualification required
* Full UK driving licence and own car
