Job summary
This role is to act as the Lead Pharmacist for the development and implementation of EPMA across BHT. With a system already identified this role, along with Pharmacy Technician support will be working on the build, configuration and integrating EPMA into the working lives of healthcare staff across BHT.
Our EPMA development is a significant focus of the Trust and requires an experienced, dynamic individual to lead this, working within the department and throughout the Trust. This role will be ideal for someone with experience of EPMA implementation who wishes to expand their skills across a multisite Trust.
You will be working as part of a friendly, sociable and inclusive department, with full support for personal training and development.
Main duties of the job
1. To act as the Lead Pharmacist in delivering the selected EPMA system, with consideration of the time, resource requirements and essential patient safety nature to be a successful project.
2. To provide Pharmacist support and advice on pharmaceutical matters and those pertaining to medicines management.Medicines management encompasses the selection, procurement, dispensing, delivery, prescribing, administration and review of medicines.
3. To oversee the use of electronic dispensing and prescribing systems as required in Pharmacy and through out the Trust when associated with medicines management
4. To identify and support teams to deliver the changes in clinical and operational practice with implementation of EPMA.
5. To work as a practising Pharmacist with understanding the requirements and scope of clinical pharmacy to deliver the EPMA role
6. To support the work of other senior pharmacists as required
