About The Role
Bespak is looking for a permanent Engineering Manager for the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. The salary for this role is £70k to £80k. Other benefits you will receive are 25 days leave plus bank holidays, discretionary annual bonus, generous 10% pension contribution, onsite free parking, and medical / dental / health / life assurance.

As the Engineering Manager, you will set the strategy and direction for the manufacturing engineering team, overseeing all asset maintenance and improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of critical assets while leading, training, and developing your team to promote maintenance excellence. A key part of your role involves managing departmental budgets and Capex investment forecasts to align with business priorities. Furthermore, you will drive a LEAN culture of continuous improvement and ensure all engineering activities comply with HSE and cGMP standards. You will also represent the engineering function during audits and provide a high level of service to all customers.
Bespak in Holmes Chapel is an Investors in People Silver Award-winning pharmaceutical CDMO with over 350 employees, currently going through a period of significant site expansion. We are investing heavily to increase our capacity for developing and manufacturing sustainable pMDIs (asthma inhalers) with greener propellants, meeting the evolving standards of the industry, while providing comprehensive development, manufacturing, filling, and finishing solutions for a range of medical devices, including SMIs, DPIs, nasal sprays, and medical check valves.
As an Engineering Manager, your duties will include:
* Set the strategy for maintenance and improvement initiatives.
* Lead, develop, and performance manage your engineering team.
* Manage the lifecycle of all critical business assets.
* Control and forecast all departmental and Capex budgets.
* Ensure full compliance with HSE and cGMP standards.
* Drive a LEAN culture of continuous improvement.
Engineering Manager, beneficial key skills and experience:
* An engineering degree or an equivalent qualification.
* Significant engineering experience in a cGMP environment.
* A recognised qualification in applying LEAN techniques.
* A NEBOSH Certificate or an equivalent diploma.
* Strong technical leadership and project management skills.
* Experience managing change via structured control processes.
