About The Role
HomeServe are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join the Technology & Change Team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have experience delivering both business change & IT projects end to end.
Our team work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a minimum of two days a week in the Walsall office. Occasionally, there may be times where you will need to work from our Nottingham or Preston offices.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountable for delivering a range of projects across our diverse portfolio you will be experienced in all stages of the project management lifecycle. You will be comfortable working at pace whilst maintaining quality and have an eye for detail, with well-honed stakeholder management skills both verbally, and in writing.
Specifically you will: Mobilise projects from Initiation,standing up the project teamand establishing project governance in accordance with our framework
Ensure all mandatory project artefacts are produced to a high standard.
Produce,maintain and manage to a detailed project plan, identifying the critical path and any associated dependencies
Demonstrate effective management of Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies
Be responsible for shaping and actively managing the Project budget and resource forecasts
Engage with key stakeholders regularly in person and in writing via regular project reporting
Monitor and Control Ensure appropriate controls are in place for time, cost and quality
Ensure detailed base lined plans are produced; critical path is signed off and reported against
Monitor, track and report to key IT and business stakeholders
Ensure appropriate risk, issues, assumptions and dependency management is in place, liaise with business and IT stakeholder for identification, escalation and mitigation.
Ensure compliance to the governance structure, including stage gates, as defined in the life cycle
Support project quality checks, and quality assurance activities across the portfolio
Relationship Management Develop and maintain effective relationships with the product owner or project sponsor and business team
Engage and build relationships with the delivery team and stakeholders who will be required to support and deliver the project
Coordinate and liaise with 3rd parties where appropriate for the delivery and coordination of the IT technical tasks
Financial Control Develop, co-ordinate and establish the business case for projects
Monitor budgets regularly to ensure budget remains within the agreed financial governance
About The Candidate
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
Qualifications PRINCE2 / AgilePM / APM PMQ or similar Project Management accreditation
APMG Change Management or similar is desirable
Essential Experience in delivering multiple projects concurrently
Experience of managing project level budgets from £100k to up to £1M
Experience of producing and managing resource forecasts
Experience in managing technical projects, end to end, through the full project lifecycle
Experience in business change projects, end to end, through the full project lifecycle
Experience of shaping, developing and establishing business case for projects
Experience of mobilising projects, identifying and organising resources and establishing the project governance (within the appropriate governance framework)
Experience of delivering projects using a variety of project management methodologies to the agreed time, quality and cost plans and agreed governance
Excellent communication skills
Able to convert technical jargon to a business audience
Desirable Experienced reporting up to board level
