The Director, Data Center Program Controls will play a critical leadership role in driving cross-functional alignment across large-scale data center developments. This individual will be responsible for ensuring effective execution of project controls, program controls, and Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) procurement and integration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Project & Program Controls:
1. Develop, implement, and oversee standardized project control processes (scheduling, budgeting, risk tracking, reporting, change control).
2. Lead program-level reporting and forecasting for cost, schedule, and performance metrics across multiple concurrent projects.
3. Monitor adherence to project baselines and coordinate mitigation plans for deviations.
4. Partner with Finance, Construction, and Development teams to ensure accurate capital planning and forecasting.
Project Coordination:
5. Act as a central liaison between internal teams (Design, Procurement, Development, Construction, legal and Operations) and external partners.
6. Facilitate project planning and readiness, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are clearly defined and met.
7. Manage workflow alignment, communication protocols, and issue escalation across the project lifecycle.
8. Creation and implementation of program reports
OFCI Equipment Management:
9. Lead OFCI strategy planning, procurement, and logistics tracking to ensure timely delivery and seamless integration with construction milestones.
10. Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and contractor teams to align installation sequencing with construction progress.
11. Mitigate supply chain risks and manage vendor performance to avoid project delays.
Required:
12. 7+ years of relevant experience in construction project coordination, project controls, or data center delivery.
13. Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and cost management systems.
14. Proven experience managing large-scale OFCI procurement and contractor integration.
Preferred:
15. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
16. PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
17. Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center developments.
18. Familiarity with ERP or capital project software platforms (e.g., Procore, Oracle, SAP).
19. Strategic mindset with tactical execution abilities.
20. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
