Description About the Team The Deskside Support team is the second line of IT support provided to the NMC. We investigate more complex time-consuming issues as well as maintaining the physical assets across the user base ranging from laptops to meeting rooms. About the Role The main purpose of the role is to provide high quality customer focused IT support in line with the business needs and meeting our KPIs. You will achieve this by effectively communicating with our end users and working collaboratively with the wider IT teams, both internal and external, to deliver support in a timely manner. As a Deskside Support Analyst, youll work on a wide range of tickets with a mix of industry standard software and a range of applications designed for the regulatory space. Youll also support problem investigations, implementation of some standard RFCs and manage some third-party suppliers. Our analysts always aim to delivery the best end user experience possible, to help ensure the organisation can protect the public. About You You will have experience managing both incident and change tickets via and ITSM tool, using this to effectively communicate with end users to resolve issues within SLA. You have worked in an ITIL based service desk and are familiar with the ITIL terminology and processes. You have assisted in problem investigations and managed third parties. You should have experience of providing excellent customer focused service, with a real drive to contribute to our primary goal of serving and protecting the public. You will have excellent communicational skills, and able to adapt your communication effectively when collaborating with colleagues, managers, and stakeholder. Our Pay Policy It is expected that staff new to the NMC will ordinarily be appointed to the bottom of the relevant pay band. However in exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a salary above the bottom of the relevant pay band but we may request proof of current earnings. Please note that we offer an annual review of salaries and adopt a generous progressive pay approach. Further details of which are available on request.
