Job Description:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Become proficient as a generalist CSS across the Seequent product range including Volsung, Leapfrog, Edge, Contaminants Extension, Central, and other products or solutions as required;
2. Learn from customers how, what, where, and why they are using our products or competitive products, and the problems they are attempting to solve, then feed that information back to the appropriate teams within the business;
3. Develop and share your own technical expertise to provide advisory support to customers, colleagues, and peers, enabling them to meet their objectives;
4. Demonstrate the ability to question, listen, and analyze to establish the current and desired state;
5. Provide solutions appropriate to clients’ needs to improve their business results;
6. Respond promptly to customer technical queries, providing timely and professional support;
7. Build trust and become a business partner and trusted advisor to clients, peers, and prospective customers;
8. Work as part of the regional team to identify and pursue opportunities within new and existing customers;
9. Gather market intelligence;
10. Set up demonstrations, webinars, and supply product information to prospective customers;
11. Maintain accurate client data in CRM to support market analysis and future pipeline development.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A tertiary qualification in geology or hydrogeology, or a closely related discipline (note: without this qualification, consideration is not possible);
* Minimum 3 years’ industry experience in geothermal, oil & gas, CCS, hydrogeology, or reservoir engineering;
* Experience with Volsung, Leapfrog, or Central is advantageous;
* A technical orientation with curiosity about how software works, and a passion for becoming an expert user and technical resource;
* Strong relationship-building skills;
* Ability to support sales with technical insights, demonstrations, and solution architecture during pre-sales to craft winning solutions;
* Confidence in providing pre-sales technical support and leading technical engagements with prospects and customers;
* Proactive communication with sales teams and management regarding solution progress;
* Ability to demonstrate and train customers in software solutions effectively, including at executive and technical levels;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus;
* A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively;
* A balanced approach to problem-solving;
* Persistence, focus, and prioritization skills;
* Adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
