* Ensuring delivery of an outstanding learner experience for learners on defined programmes.

* Lead and drive forward quality for specified learning programmes by:
o Team leading delivery teams, ensuring a joined‑up effective approach that best meets learner needs.
o Liaising with employers, sector agencies and other stakeholders as appropriate to develop learner programmes.
o Ensuring delivery staff are deployed and other stakeholders are involved in developing learning programmes.
o Ensuring delivery staff are deployed efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of learners and key stakeholders.
o Leading IV and assessment by co‑ordinating across programmes of responsibility.
o Carrying out an effective formal programme review ("Learner Outcome Review") for programmes of responsibility and contributing to self‑assessment activity.
o Producing an improvement plan for programmes of responsibility.
o Emphasising and tracking outcomes for learners and their progression.
* Lead programme teams to implement highly effective systems and procedures that support learners and curriculum delivery by:
o Implementing strategies to improve student attendance, retention, achievement and progression rates and meet success rate targets.
o Implementing processes that ensure effective recruitment, induction, attendance, retention, achievement, attainment and progression of learners within each subject/course.
o Ensuring compliance with management information procedures relating to students’ attendance, retention, recording and tracking achievement, progression and learner satisfaction in line with set deadlines.
* Practice as an expert facilitator of teaching and learning in the context of a modern and flexible curriculum. This includes:
o Planning learning activities collaboratively with learners and identifying learning opportunities with maximum impact on learning and positive outcomes for learners.
o Delivering teaching and facilitating learning to a high standard.
o Ensuring effective learning and assessment of learners takes place.
* Implement assessment approaches that meet the requirements of internal and external agencies by:
o Promoting high levels of achievement and learner progression.
o Carrying out internal verification and moderation.
o Carefully tracking and monitoring learner attainment and achievement.
* Support curriculum management in areas of specialist skill.
* Oversee the progress of a defined set of learners linked to programmes of responsibility, ensuring they are equipped, supported and motivated to achieve their full potential.
* Ensure that individual achievement targets are set with learners and that SMART action plans are created and reviewed.
* Manage a devolved budget as appropriate for areas of responsibility.
* Participate in continuous professional development and share best practice to attain and maintain outstanding standards of teaching and learning.
* Lead development activity to implement programme improvements, working with a range of programme staff and leading curriculum innovation and design.
* Lead and engage with colleagues (including teachers, learning facilitators and learner support services) and learners to ensure an outstanding learner experience and outstanding lines of student support.
* Demonstrate effective communication with staff and students.
* Implement the student disciplinary policy across programmes of responsibility.
* Ensure all health and safety obligations are met, ensuring that risk assessments are in place and risks are discussed/communicated to learners in each session.
* Ensure implementation of systems for safeguarding learners and equality and diversity at programme level.
* Ensure programme teams have undertaken mandatory staff training.
* Deputise as appropriate for a Curriculum Operations Manager.
* Undertake any other duties as required, appropriate to the grade of the post.

Qualifications, Membership & CPD
* Possesses a degree or equivalent.
* Has a Certified Ed / PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status.
* Fully TEEP trained to level 1.
* Has ICT skills equivalent to a minimum Level 2 standard.
* Has very good numerical and literacy skills equivalent to a minimum Level 2 standard.
* A record of maintaining a high level of continuous professional development (CPD) leading to improvements as a practitioner and for learners.
* A commitment to develop self and team.

* Enhanced DBS clearance that is satisfactory to the College.
* Evidence of qualification certificates.
