Work Schedule
Weekend Office Hours:
1. Work Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day.
2. Attend a Friday handover meeting at 4:00 PM and provide a Monday morning handover at 9:00 AM.
Out-of-Hours Coverage:
3. Hold the out-of-hours phone on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings to provide support as needed.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Weekend Care Supervisor to join our team based over our three Shropshire offices at – Home Instead Newport, Bridgnorth and Church Stretton. As a Weekend Care Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our clients during weekend hours.
4. Oversee and coordinate the delivery of person-centred care to clients during weekend shifts
5. Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and mentorship as needed
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant care regulations and standards
7. Manage staff rotas and allocate duties effectively
8. Conduct regular assessments and update care plans as required
9. Liaise with clients families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
10. Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents
11. Maintain accurate records and complete necessary documentation
12. Participate in staff training and development initiatives
13. Contribute to the continuous improvement of care services
Qualifications
14. Proven experience in care supervision or management
15. NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification or willing to work towards.
16. Strong leadership and management skills
17. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
18. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
19. Proficiency in time management and organisational skills
20. In-depth knowledge of care regulations and standards
21. Understanding of person-centred care principles and practices
22. Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and care planning processes
23. Empathetic and supportive approach
24. Good IT skills
