The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented UK sales manager to lead new business development for OEMs in Heating, water coolers, ice makers, vending, catering, showers, and other industries. This is a role for an ambitious individual looking to make a significant impact, with a clear pathway to a wider Group Role, with an opportunity for European sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development (Primary Focus): Identify, target, and secure new OEM accounts within the UK for our range of flexible hoses and valves. This will involve proactive lead generation, cold calling, networking, and developing proposals.
Strategic Account Management: Nurture and grow a portfolio of key OEM accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining strong, long-term relationships. While new business is the focus, strong account management is essential for sustained growth.
Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities within key sectors. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Technical Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of our flexible hose and valve product lines and their applications within the water industry to effectively articulate value propositions to technical and commercial decision makers at OEM clients.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Accurately forecast sales, track performance against targets, and provide regular, detailed reports to the Commercial Director.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless customer experiences and product delivery.
Travel: Regular travel to customer sites across the UK is required, with occasional overnight stays (maximum 3 nights per month) for customer meetings and industry events.
Skills and Experience:
Essential: Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, specifically focusing on new business development with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Preferred: Experience selling similar products (flexible hoses, valves, fluid control components) into customers within the water industry or related sectors.
Demonstrable track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth.
Strong understanding of the sales cycle, from lead generation to close, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Full UK driving license.
