At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people s lives. About our Housing Ambition It s an exciting time to be working at Bath & North East Somerset as we complete our organisational change programme that is transforming the way we work, and we embark on a period of significant investment in housing. The council s ambition over the coming years is to scale up our housing delivery capacity through an established pipeline of over 3,000 multi-tenure homes on land the Council controls. It is also a rewarding time to join B&NES Council because we have lots to do, with a clear mandate from the current administration to deliver the affordable homes we need. To do this we are recruiting great people to the great teams we have. We need people with a high level of drive, experience and determination, and those who aspire to develop careers in a fast-paced organisation working in an outstanding natural and built environment. We are now seeking to recruit a passionate housing manager to lead the B&NES Homes Team, which operates the social and supported housing schemes that the Council will retain as part of its broader housing development plans. About the Role You will be responsible for leading and managing B&NES Homes which operates around 75 units of award-winning accommodation, currently mainly supported housing units. But with more homes under construction and many more in the pipeline this is just the start. As we grow in scale this role will develop and you will be key to this development, shaping our future, whilst being supported to further develop professionally. In your role you will also contribute to the broader Housing Services senior leadership team which is responsible for a full range of strategic housing services. In return we expect the successful applicant to have experience and a passion for residential tenancy management and operations, preferably in the social housing sector. We also expect that the applicant will already meet, or be in the process of meeting, the current professionalisation agenda for social housing managers, which we can support if required. So come and join our award-winning teams as we embark on a journey that will transform the district and contribute to our passion for housing.
