Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food and hospitality, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
* Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to meet customer expectations and deliver excellent service
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
* Monitor food presentation to ensure visual appeal meets brand standards

Skills

* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
* Experience in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations is highly desirable
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
