Role Overview
* Deliver engaging one-to-one or small group Maths lessons.
* Support students from Key Stage 3 up to GCSE and A-Level (where relevant).
* Create tailored lesson plans to address learning gaps and build confidence.
* Track student progress and adapt teaching approaches as needed.
* Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians.
Requirements
Essential:
* Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* At least 1 year of post-primary Maths teaching or tutoring experience.
* Strong knowledge of the Northern Ireland post-primary Maths curriculum.
* Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
* Professional, reliable, approachable, patient, and supportive.
Preferred:
* Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
* Experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
What to Expect
* Short teaching demonstration as part of the application process.
* Preference for candidates able to commit for at least 1 year.
* All sessions conducted in person at our Carrickfergus location.
Key Details:
* Pay: £20–£30 per hour (depending on lesson type and level).
* Hours: 4–25 hrs/week, flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends.
