Join Our Team as an HGV Class 1 Driver!

Key Responsibilities:
Safe and Efficient Driving:
1. Operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle with precision and care, ensuring compliance with all UK driving laws and regulations.
2. Conduct thorough pre-journey vehicle inspections to guarantee your vehicle is in peak condition. Report any defects immediately.
Route Planning:
3. Plan efficient routes for maximum productivity, with a focus on timely deliveries and collections.
4. Utilise GPS technology and other navigation tools to avoid traffic and streamline delivery operations.
Delivery and Collection:
5. Perform a maximum of 2 drops per shift, ensuring goods are delivered safely and in excellent condition.
6. Handle goods with care, ensuring they are properly secured during transit to prevent any damage.
Loading and Unloading:
7. Enjoy a no handball environment, as all goods are loaded and unloaded using appropriate equipment.
8. Ensure all items are palletised and protected for seamless delivery.
Documentation and Compliance:
9. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documents are signed and filed correctly.
10. Maintain precise records of delivery notes and any customer feedback for future reference.
Customer Service:
11. Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with clients to resolve any queries promptly.
12. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Monday to Friday or 4 on/off shift pattern on a rota basis starting 06:00.
Requirements:
13. Valid Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
14. Minimum of 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience.
15. Valid UK CPC and UK Digi Tacho cards.
16. Comfortable working early morning shifts starting at 06:00.
17. Good level of written and spoken English.
18. Strong knowledge of EU driving laws and regulations.
19. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
20. Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
21. Successful completion of a driving assessment before starting.
