This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting in the role.
Job Location and Responsibilities
This position is based within our Community Therapy team in East Lothian. It will enhance our current Unscheduled Care pathways of D2A and POA throughout the week, including weekend therapy cover.
Hours will be scheduled using a rota pattern across 7 days, with no more than 5 days worked within a 7-day period.
Full-time and Part-time hours are available.
Role Overview
* Provide independent, comprehensive specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge for a complex range of patients.
* Supervise occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers, and occupational therapy students.
* Develop and deliver training programs for professionals and carers to educate them about the therapy process and management of patients' medical and social needs.

Note: Part-time hours will be considered, with salary pro-rated accordingly.
