Key Responsibilities
As an Automotive Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, assessment, and support to students across a range of levels. You'll play a key part in preparing learners for careers in the automotive industry, helping them develop practical skills and technical knowledge.
You will also create innovative lessons that are engaging, student-focused, and delivered in a friendly, welcoming environment to ensure successful achievements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
To be considered for this role we require a candidate with strong experience in the accident repair industry along with a Level 3 qualification in Body & Paint.
Experience teaching automotive at Level 3 is desirable but not essential. It is also desirable for candidates to hold a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above), however we will also consider someone who is willing to work towards obtaining this qualification.
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
Accepted Qualifications:
DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
Certificate in Education
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).
Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:
PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
