Job description
Prospero Teacher are seeking to recruit a well-qualified and dedicated Religious Education Teacher, for April start until the end of the academic year for a well-run school in Brent.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Religious Education and will be able to motivate, elevate and challenge students to produce the highest quality work and achieve high academic standards.
The ideal candidate:
1. Has a proven History to secure excellent pupil results in Religious Education GCSE exams
2. Can inspire and lead high quality teaching, learning and assessment
3. Is dynamic and an ambitious practitioner, who can build on the success of the subject and ensure good progress for all pupils
4. Has experience of effective teaching and supporting pupils with a range of SEN, behavioural and academic needs.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
5. No formal qualifications/experience are required for cover supervision work. Please note desirable qualities will be a resilient personality, good time keeping, confidence managing classes/prior experience working with young people
6. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent (to be offered supply teaching work)
7. Previous experience working in a UK school would be ideal
8. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
9. Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all required vetting checks
10. Hold Right to Work in the UK
11. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
12. Provide two professional child related references
