A rare opportunity has arisen to join and lead our Production Planning Team at Taylors of Harrogate, in the role of Production Planning Manager on a fixed term basis for 14 months covering maternity leave. We will need someone to be able start in this role from mid-January 2026 to ensure a good handover. This role works 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Head of Planning and Logistics, the Production Planning Manager will lead, develop and coach a highly effective Production Planning and Stock Control & Material Planning Team. This role supports the delivery of Taylor’s strategy by creating efficient production plans that meet customer demand, whilst maintaining optimum stock levels. A key aspect of this role includes active participation in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team, with specific responsibility for the monthly Capacity review. This review focuses on the 4–24 month horizon; identifying constraints and opportunities and engaging with the wider business and operations team to ensure recommendations aligned and to meet demand. Other key responsibilities are: Experienced in leading, coaching, and motivating teams. Skilled in building effective cross-functional relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Knowledgeable in Supply and Manufacturing processes, with ERP system expertise (preferably FMCG). Familiar with Integrated Business Planning processes. Curious and solutions-focused, with a drive for continuous improvement and the ability to lead change. Capable of medium-term planning and strategic thinking.
