We are currently looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated candidates for the position of Kitchen Porter who will be responsible for assisting the Senior Steward / Chef in the correct running of the kitchen. Shift Pattern: Up to 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Sunday (24/7 Operation) Desired profile: Experienced in the Kitchen Department as a kitchen porter/assistant Willingness to work Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational skills Confident, professional, and welcoming personality Ability to carry out manual tasks Ability to work alone and in a team Hardworking, honest, and reliable Polite and helpful manner when dealing with guests and team members Assure a high standard of personal hygiene, with special attention to uniform Ensure a clear understanding and observance of fire and emergency procedures Duties include: To ensure a continuous supply of plates and polished cutlery is always available if required Requisition of necessary store items, liaising with the Chief Steward for authorisation Ensure salt and peppershakers are clean and filled daily and lids are replaced as necessary ifrequired Sweeping and mopping of the floor between all meal and break times Cleaning the tables during and after service if required Emptying bins, bottle bins and ensuring that all areas of responsibility are always clean and tidy Cleaning of the service counter, emptying, and cleaning Bain Marie Daily cleaning of all surfaces behind service counter, milk machine, cutlery trays and trolleys.
