Role
Senate House Library is the central library for the University of London, and the home library for the School of Advanced Study. We offer access and research support to collections covering Arts, Humanities and Social Science and are home to a number of unique and distinctive Special Collections in the heart of London’s student and research community.
Senate House Library is seeking to recruit to fill the role of Collection Management Officer (Depository). The role is based at our off-site store, the Depository Library, in Egham, Surrey and is a fixed term role for 18 months.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Space & Collection Management Team, undertaking activities for the ongoing management of Library space and printed collections.
* Perform physical assessment, processing and movement of library collections.
* Create or amend electronic records on the Library Management System.
* Work onsite at the Depository (limited scope for remote working).
* Work well as part of a small team, with a methodical approach, excellent attention to detail, and extensive knowledge of collections and systems.
