Job Title
Lead Scrub Practitioner – Permanent Post

Salary
£56,000 – £60,000
Hours
37.5 hours per week / Monday to Sunday + on‑call requirement
Key Responsibilities
* Work professionally with others of the multidisciplinary team, including consultants
* Provide leadership, support and guidance to staff in the appropriate staffing and allocation of scrub duties
* Ensure the cost‑effective and appropriate use of resources with consideration and due regard to budgetary control
* Motivate staff, achieve high morale and promote effective communication within the department
Requirements
* Valid Nursing registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) for the UK
* Current HCPC/NMC Registration
* Operating Department Practitioner / Registered Nurse qualification
* At least 6 months recent paid experience completed at ward level within an NHS hospital setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Experience in orthopaedic and spinal surgery
* Substantial post‑graduate experience in theatres in a senior role
* Recent paediatric caseload experience is desirable
