Role Purpose
The Product Manager is accountable for the success of their assigned products. They define direction, priorities, and outcomes, ensuring products deliver real value to users and the business.
This role focuses on the why and the what, not the how. The Product Manager balances user needs, commercial impact, and strategic goals, working closely with the TFO Technology Team and Product Engineering to turn ideas into effective, scalable solutions.
Product Delivery Responsibility (Group & Assigned Products)
The Product Manager is expected to support product delivery across the wider product portfolio, contributing to discovery, prioritisation, and decision-making where needed.
Alongside this, each Product Manager will be assigned one or more key products for which they hold primary ownership. For these assigned products, the Product Manager is fully accountable for vision, roadmap, prioritisation, delivery outcomes, and adoption.
This ensures:
Consistency and alignment across the overall product ecosystem
Clear ownership and accountability at an individual product level
Flexibility to support peaks in delivery while maintaining focus
Product Vision & Direction
Own and articulate the product vision for assigned products. Translate business strategy and user needs into a clear, outcome-focused roadmap.
Problem Discovery
Stay close to users, stakeholders, and data to understand real problems worth solving. Ensure problems are well defined before solutions are designed or built.
Prioritisation & Roadmapping
Prioritise work based on impact, value, effort, and risk. Make clear trade-offs and keep roadmaps focused on outcomes rather than features.
Value & ROI Focus
Define what success looks like for assigned products, including adoption, efficiency, quality, and commercial impact. Track performance and adjust direction when value is not being realised.
Delivery Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering and Product Engineers to shape ideas into feasible, buildable solutions. Ensure delivery aligns with intent while respecting technical constraints.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the single point of product clarity for assigned products. Communicate direction, progress, and decisions clearly to stakeholders across the business.
Adoption & Continuous Improvement
Support launches, training, and change to ensure products are used effectively. Continuously improve products based on feedback and performance.
Experience & Capability
Experience managing digital products in live operational environments
Strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills
Commercially aware and outcome-driven
Comfortable working closely with engineers without needing to be technical
Confident decision-maker with imperfect information
