An exciting opportunity has arisen at a fast-improving secondary school located in the vibrant community of St Neots, Cambridgeshire. We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Qualified Teacher of Mathematics to join our team on a permanent basis, starting in September or sooner. This is a pivotal role aimed at contributing to our ongoing journey of improvement and excellence in education.
The successful candidate will be integral in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students across Key Stages 3 to 5. The role requires a passion for mathematics and a commitment to developing student potential through innovative and effective teaching methods.
Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate students to appreciate and excel in mathematics.
*Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, while also identifying areas needing additional support.
*Create an inclusive classroom environment that recognizes and nurtures diverse learning needs.
*Collaborate with colleagues to develop curricula and resources and participate in departmental meetings, school training sessions, and educational committees.
*Contribute to the school’s strategies for raising attainment in mathematics.
*Engage in continuous professional development to ensure teaching practices remain current and effective.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent internationally recognized teaching qualification.
*Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
*Proven track record of delivering compelling and results-driven mathematics instruction.
*Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and engage students.
*Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*A commitment to personal learning and professional development.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a team of teachers.
