We are currently looking for a Senior Planner to join our team in Scotland. As a Senior Planner, your primary responsibility will be to develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules. Your expertise will ensure that all project phases are meticulously planned and executed, adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with the site team and main contractor to ensure fully integrated programmes are correctly sequenced for successful project completion.
2. Understand specifications, drawings, and relevant contract documents in collaboration with engineers and surveyors to ensure proper planning and programming of projects.
3. Conduct regular project reporting to keep the site team informed about programme status and progress.
4. Liaise with the project team to produce progress reports, progress percentages, and drop-down programmes.
Skills and Experience
1. Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects and stakeholder relationships.
2. Background in engineering is preferred, with the ability to understand practical site challenges.
3. Ability to develop and recommend alternative approaches to improve programme scheduling.
4. Strong organisational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
5. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
6. Planning and project management expertise.
Specific Qualifications
1. Relevant experience in the construction industry.
2. Recognised construction or technical discipline qualifications.
3. Proven experience as a planner in the construction sector.
4. Effective communication skills for liaising with project teams and subcontractors.
5. Strong risk management and problem-solving abilities.
6. Full UK Driving License.
