Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Design Technology Teacher for a well-established and supportive secondary school in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate DT specialist to join a welcoming department as soon as possible on a long-term supply basis.
The school is known for its positive learning environment, strong leadership, and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, practical skills, and problem-solving among students.
The Role
1. Teach Design Technology to KS3 and KS4 students
2. Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons
3. Support students in developing technical and creative skills
4. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
5. Work collaboratively with an experienced DT department
The Ideal Candidate
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary setting
8. Strong classroom management and organisational skills
9. Passion for practical and creative learning
10. Ability to start immediately or at short notice
