Summary
We are seeking a dedicated friendly and creative Media and Activities Lead to join our team at Wentworth Healthcare Ltd in North Petherwin. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing engaging activities and media initiatives that promote well-being and social interaction among our residents, reflecting our commitment to compassionate dementia care.
Responsibilities
* Update and maintain our social media channels and website with activity news and photos
* Plan and organise a range of engaging daily activities every month
* Work alongside activities staff to ensure competent delivery of activities
* Support and escort residents on outings, including regular visits to the Memory Café
* Encourage resident participation and develop person‑centred activity plans
* Work collaboratively with the wider care team to promote meaningful engagement
Qualifications
* Experience of working with Dementia / Cognitive Impairment
* Positive, creative, and confident in leading groups
* Friendly, patient, and able to build strong relationships with residents
* Comfortable using social media and basic website‑editing tools
* Able to work 12 hours per week, including alternate Saturday afternoons
* IT Competent
* Driving License
