Job Summary
We're looking for an established Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to head up the commercial arm of a North West based company who predominantly work as a fit-out contractor throughout the UK.
They pride themselves on offering a flexible work / life balance and are happy to consider offering remote / hybrid working models as well as an attractive salary and a company car / allowance .
Ongoing repeat business with school refurbs, holidays parks makes up their bread and butter but they want someone who can come in and help grow the contractor side project delivery where they always go the extra mile. The ideal candidate will have good relationships with existing clients and be prepared to help in winning business. With this, comes a bonus scheme which is entirely open for discussion should you get to interview stage.
What you'll be doing:
Building strong client relationships
Growing the general fit-out contractor arm of their business
Manage and plan all costs associated with construction projects from inception to completion.
Negotiate with all staff, including site workers and directors, in a professional manner.
Prepare tender documents and estimates ready for submission.
Liaise with client teams to complete value engineering as necessary.
Procure subcontractors and negotiate contracts.
Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
Monitor costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
Provide clear reporting to senior management on project performance.
Collaborate with estimating, procurement, and operations teams

Flexible - Happy to discuss office based / hybrid / remote working models
Pay
£50,000 - £70,000 per annum
Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying
Experience in a similar role within the Construction industry.
Mathematically proficient.
Effective communicator with sound decision-making, time management and organisational skills.
Knowledge and JCT contracts and subcontracts.
Experience working for a fit-out contractor desirable
Thorough understanding of Construction Documentation.
Strong negotiation skills
Essential

Full UK driving license required and flexibility regarding working hours and travel (in the Northwest).
