The role will be based at NWSSP Medicine unit at Imperial Park 5 with a requirement to attend Picketston site (St Athan) to perform stock maintenance and distribution activities on stored medicines include Controlled Drugs (CD’s) vaccines and other prescription only medicines (POM).

Main duties of the job
· Provide day to day administration support to the pharmacy procurement function, including stores, distribution and pharmacy goods-in areas, managing the electronic records of sales and finance reports to ensure they are current,
· Lead on the processing of orders under a Wholesale Dealers Authorisation (WDA) to provide an efficient service to internal and external customers, patients, carers and other healthcare professionals,
· Participate in the over labelling and pack down activities and co-ordinate transport / dispatch of customer orders via Health Courier Services (HCS) transport hub,
Plan and organise stock and equipment checks,

Person specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* A Level qualification or able to demonstrate the equivalent level if knowledge skills and experience.
* Standard IT skills using software programmes including Microsoft Word and Excel, email and keyboard skills,
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Procurement services or equivalent knowledge of pharmacy procurement,
* CIPS Level 2 certification / RSA Typing stage III or equivalent,
Experience
* Admin/ clerical experience including filing and computer work.
* Experience of working in a procurement / stock control function
* Experience of providing customer service
* Previous experience of working in the NHS
* Understanding of health and safety regulations
* Understanding and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
Skills and Attributes
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Good telephone manner and a high level of message handling skills. Interpersonal skills to provide good customer care, diplomacy, tact and awareness of others.
