About the Role
We are looking for a qualified CompEx Electrical Technician to join our growing technical
services team. Working both in our workshop and on client sites across the UK, youll be
responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and inspection of EX-rated equipment in
hazardous areas (Zones 0, 1, and 2).
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems in hazardous environments
Install and commission ATEX-compliant electrical equipment
Complete inspection reports and certification documentation to a high standard
Support mobilisation of rental equipment for hazardous area use
Adhere to DSEAR, ATEX regulations, and internal safety protocols
Requirements
Valid CompEx Ex01Ex04 certification
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
Proven experience in hazardous environments (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemical,
industrial)
Strong understanding of cable glanding, terminations, and ATEX compliance
Full UK driving licence
Willing and able to travel to client sites across the UK
