Systems Manager
Location: Office-based Blackburn
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Manager to manage, implement, and maintain our company-wide IT systems and infrastructure. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring the robustness, security, and reliability of our existing systems, networks, and backup solutions, while also planning future infrastructure requirements in collaboration with our web software development team.
You will work independently while complementing an existing Junior IT Support Engineer, taking ownership of identifying weaknesses, implementing improvements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take full ownership of all company systems, including hardware, software, networks, telephony, and CCTV.
2. Manage disaster recovery and business continuity, developing, testing, and invoking plans to ensure systems and data availability.
3. Ensure all on-site and off-site backups are in place, valid, and regularly tested.
4. Develop, maintain, and review IT policies and procedures in line with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
