Are you a passionate Sous Chef looking for your next challenge?
Our client is a highly regarded independent restaurant in the heart of Falmouth, known for its vibrant menus, exceptional local produce, and strong team culture. They are seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join their kitchen leadership team and play a key role in delivering outstanding food and service.
Working closely with the Head Chef and existing Sous Chef, you will help lead a busy kitchen, support menu development, maintain high standards, and inspire the team around you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
2. Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
3. Assist with menu development and food costing
4. Monitor stock, food costs, and waste control
5. Maintain exceptional food quality and consistency
6. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
7. Train and develop junior team members
About You
8. Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef
9. Strong leadership and people-management skills
10. Experience in a quality-led, fast-paced kitchen
11. Knowledge of menu costing, stock control, and waste management
12. Passion for fresh food and high standards
13. Calm, organised, and positive under pressure
