Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Professional
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our team as a SHEQ Manager. This is a multifaceted role that involves overseeing the company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in HSE and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. They will also develop and implement effective HSE systems and procedures to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures
* Conducting regular site audits to ensure compliance with approved working procedures and legal requirements
* Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions
* Chairing quarterly HSE meetings with senior managers and directors
* Liaising with clients and external stakeholders on HSE matters
* Management of SSIP certification and prequalification documentation
Environmental Aspects:
The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing effective environmental controls and monitoring measures to minimize the impact of site operations on the environment.
This includes:
* Developing site-based environmental systems to meet the expanding scope of works
* Assisting delivery teams with preparation of environmental documentation
* Management of carbon reduction plans and annual reporting
* Auditing sites to ensure compliance with approved working procedures and legal requirements
* Preparation of site audit reports and follow-up on remedial actions identified
* Incident investigation and reporting, with delivery of 'Lessons Learned' communication and training for company-wide operations
Quality Aspects:
The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and updating company policies to ensure they remain current, as well as managing quality returns from site and monitoring approved supplier lists.
This includes:
* Annual review of ISO 9001/14001 management systems
* Establishment of quality and environmental targets
* Monthly internal audits
* Coordination of quality returns from site
* Monitoring of approved supplier lists and approval of prequalification documents
* Chairing quarterly quality management meetings
* Review and update of company operational risks and opportunities
* HS&E
* Cost management
* Operational management
* Communication & Reporting
* Procurement & Contracts
* Reporting on Carbon Reduction Measures / Progress
* Supply Chain Performance
* Results of Environmental Monitoring @ site and remedial actions undertaken as appropriate
* Legislative changes likely to impact on company operations
* Industry trends and best practice
* WEX and MMP status across the sites
* Review of performance against quality and environmental targets (annually)
