The role is varied, challenging and rewarding. It demands high levels of dynamism and commitment along with the ability to promote positive relationships with parents/carers and staff from other statutory agencies to support the educational progress of the pupil. You will possess empathy, personal resilience, understanding, patience and be passionate about working with children to provide a calm learning environment. You will: be motivated and confident demonstrate the ability to use your initiative work effectively within a team to support the work of teachers in providing high quality learning opportunities for the pupils be flexible in working across both schools and within a range of classes. Full training and support will be provided but experience of working with children with additional needs would be beneficial/desirable.
