About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Freelance Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to support works on a housing scheme based on-site in Ashington. This role is key to ensuring clear communication between residents, site teams, and project stakeholders throughout the duration of the works.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with residents, minimising disruption, and ensuring works are delivered with excellent customer care standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for residents before, during and after works
* Provide clear, timely communication regarding schedules, access requirements, and any changes
* Conduct resident consultations, home visits, and drop‑in sessions as required
* Manage and resolve complaints or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
* Coordinate access arrangements between residents and site teams
* Maintain accurate records of communications, vulnerabilities, and special requirements
* Support the site team in delivering works with minimal disruption
* Ensure safeguarding and data protection standards are upheld at all times
About You
* Proven experience as a Resident Liaison Officer within social housing, planned works, or refurbishment projects
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Confident dealing with residents in occupied properties
* Highly organised with strong administrative ability
* Able to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (preferred)
* CSCS card (desirable)
