Care Home Manager – Residential Care Location: Runcorn, Cheshire Contract: Permanent Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week Salary: £50,000 per annum bonus I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a residential care home supporting older people, including those living with dementia. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and team leadership. The Role The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing a residential care home and will be responsible for the overall performance, quality of care, and regulatory compliance of the service. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Working closely with senior leadership, deputy management, and care teams to deliver consistently high care standards Proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges while maintaining clear communication Promoting residents’ rights and ensuring all mandatory staff training is completed Building strong relationships with residents, relatives, and external stakeholders Managing risk to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and resident safety Liaising with regulatory bodies and responding promptly to any information requests Conducting competency assessments and supporting staff development Maintaining effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders Ensuring staffing levels meet regulatory and local authority requirements and supporting recruitment activities Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures at all times Maintaining confidentiality in line with data protection and Caldicott principles Supporting continuous improvement and sharing best practice Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safer recruitment, and DBS requirements Overseeing staff training, supervision, and appraisals Ensuring all required documentation is maintained and reviewed Completing pre-admission assessments for prospective residents Keeping up to date with changes in the care sector Undertaking any additional duties required to support service delivery Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Residential Care Home Manager Strong background in elderly and dementia care Excellent leadership and people management skills Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance Ability to manage a busy workload and meet KPIs Highly motivated with strong organisational and communication skills What’s on Offer?
