We are an elective surgical department with 8 theatres and 2 procedure rooms. We recently expanded and achieved a Gold Star Accreditation for Care & Excellence in March 2023.
Shifts: 1 x 8am-7pm and 3 x 8am-5:30pm; total of 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday with potential weekend work. We are recruiting an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner for the Halton Site (Nightingale and CSTM Theatre specialities).
Responsibilities
* Integral part of patient's perioperative journey
* Excellent communication skills to promote patient safety and theatre efficiency
* Collaboration within the multi-disciplinary team
* Completing perioperative theatre checks
* Participating in perioperative management of patients
* Completing designated theatre documentation in digital and paper formats
* Setting up the theatre alongside the highly skilled theatre team
* Advocacy and patient‑centred care for patients undergoing a variety of anaesthetic and surgical procedures
* Maintaining a clean and usable department, adhering to infection control
* Willingness to learn and strive for professional development
* Flexible approach to a fast‑paced department, adapting to service requirements when necessary
* Enthusiastic attitude towards teaching, supporting students and colleagues
* Completing e‑learning and regularly organised training
* Reporting to the team leaders to complete daily theatre orientated tasks
Qualifications
* Experience as an ODP, RGN or students due to qualify within next 6 months
* All RGN candidates must have additional recognised anaesthetic practice qualifications outlined in the person specification
* Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Location
Halton Site (Nightingale and CSTM Theatre specialities) in Warrington/Halton area. The trust serves a population of 330,000 and provides elective procedures.
