The role
As Healthcare Customer Segment Marketing Business Partner / Manager here at Illumina in the UK, Ireland & North region, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic marketing initiatives across healthcare customer segments. This individual contributor role sits within a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization and offers high visibility across commercial, product, and regional marketing teams. You will be responsible for developing and executing sub-regional marketing strategies that align with business goals and deliver measurable growth in the healthcare segment.

With significant experience in marketing, particularly within healthcare, you bring a strong understanding of customer segmentation, branding, content strategy, and digital engagement. Your analytical mindset and collaborative approach enable you to develop and execute marketing plans that deliver real business outcomes.
You hold a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, and you’re proficient in the full marketing mix, including VOC/VOS, multi-channel lead generation, and performance tracking. You’re intellectually curious, highly organized, and unafraid to dive into data to optimize campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Marketing Planning
* Develop multi-channel marketing strategies tailored to healthcare customer segments across UKI and North
* Conduct competitor analysis and market trend assessments to inform tactical programs
* Collaborate with sales leaders to align portfolio strategy with customer needs
* Campaign Execution & Engagement
* Partner with omnichannel and product marketing teams to deploy strategies
* Plan and manage impactful in-person and digital events
* Create customer-focused content and collateral for targeted outreach
* Budget & Performance Management
* Own and manage the customer segment marketing budget
* Track and report on campaign performance, lead generation, and ROI
* Evaluate and optimize omni-channel marketing programs
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Align with sales, product, and regional marketing teams on launches and initiatives
* Work with campaign managers to refine engagement strategies using platforms like LinkedIn and ResearchGate
* Support sales enablement through tools and training
* Market Insights & Enablement
* Drive messaging and tools for Biotech and Pharma customers
* Collaborate with market analysts on research programs
* Provide regular training and insights to sales teams
Qualifications
