We’re looking for an experienced Transport Team Lead or Supervisor to join our Birmingham Depot. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, exceeding customer expectations by monitoring and ensuring all operations are carried out with high attention to detail, guaranteeing customer orders are fulfilled safely, securely, and timely.
Role Responsibilities
1. Drive depot KPIs in quality and productivity while ensuring discipline, cleanliness, and optimal staffing for maximum efficiency.
2. Maintain compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
3. Liaise closely with the Company’s Sales Representatives regarding cut-off times, van routes, delivery times, and service levels.
4. Maintain Asset-Tracking devices and monitor driver vehicle checks.
5. Support the induction and ongoing training of transport employees, ensuring they are multi-skilled and equipped to meet operational demands.
In this role, you will be required to stand and walk for most of your shift, and be able to lift products up to 15kg, as well as bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.
Key Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
* Proven multi-drop driving experience.
* Understanding of laws and regulations related to Health & Safety.
* Well-organized with good planning skills.
* Desirable qualifications include IOSH, First Aid, and Fire Marshall certifications.
