Salary: £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

About the Role
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Workshop Manager to work within our Controls division. This is a hands‑on leadership role and is ideal for someone who can drive a safe, efficient and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning, coordinating and overseeing all workshop operations and workflows
* Ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to specified quality standards (overtime working may be necessary at times to ensure client needs are met)
* Managing workshop scheduling to optimise productivity and turnaround time
* Monitoring and maintaining workshop equipment, tools, testing equipment and inventory
* Implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations, risk assessments and safe working practices. Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001 standards)
* Conducting regular safety audits, risk assessments, tool inspections and training refreshers
* Controlling waste and supporting budgeting activities
* Preparing regular operational reports for senior management
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong understanding of workshop processes (mechanical, fabrication, electrical, safety etc.)
* Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, PLC's and industry equipment
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
* Familiarity with workshop management systems, relevant electrical codes and standards
* Excellent people management and team leadership skills
* Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* Demonstratable experience in electrical installation, maintenance and manufacture
