Assistant Wellness Director

The Assistant Wellness Director is responsible for the overall direction of clinical resident care services by delivering a 1440 experience, optimizing performance, and leading employee connections within our community.


Required Experience for Assistant Wellness Director:

* Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) registered within the State preferred. Assisted Living/Memory Care experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience required.
* Earned a degree from an educational institution in health care, mental health, or social services profession or be a licensed Health Facility Administrator.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s residents, or both, within the past 5 years.
* Minimum of 12 hours of dementia-specific training within the last 3 months.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills with groups of customers or employees.
* Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure.
* Proven organization and communication skills.
* Ability to work successfully through complex situations (problem-solving skills).


Accountabilities for Assistant Wellness Director:

* Lead, manage, and be accountable for your team and their performance.
* Responsible for revenue, evaluations, and care conferences for IL/AL: Ensuring right care, at the right price, with the right staff.
* Foster Employee Connection: Set clear expectations, provide and receive honest feedback, and recognize staff contributions.
* Oversee resident care and communicate regularly with their families as appropriate.
* Understand and lead to our 1440 care standards.


Other Key Responsibilities:

* Perform resident evaluations quarterly or upon change of condition, and set measurable goals meeting their physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
* Obtain written orders for care plan changes.
* Complete 6 hours of dementia-specific training annually.
* Verify medication and treatment accuracy with pharmacy.
* Review incident reports and address personnel issues.
* Schedule health-related educational sessions for residents.
* Communicate emergency policies and updates to staff.
* Strive for continual organizational improvement.
* Work flexible hours, including on-call, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.


Working Conditions:

This position requires standing for long periods, effective communication, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The environment involves moderate noise and may require travel.
