Role Overview
As a Finance Assistant, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. You'll work closely with our wider teams to ensure smooth operations, supporting both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices and ensure correct coding, approvals, and timely payments
* Match invoices to purchase orders, especially for inventory
* Prepare payment runs and manage payment schedules across multiple currencies
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors
* Maintain strong relationships with material suppliers and service providers
* Assist with month-end close including accruals and prepayments
* Support internal audits and ensure compliance with financial controls
* Maintain organized and accurate records in line with brand standards
* Ensure VAT is correctly applied and documented on all supplier invoices
* Support compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements

Requirements
* Experience in accounts payable or finance ideally in a retail environment
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Familiarity with accounting systems in particular Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central
* Excellent communication and vendor management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, design-led environment
* Understanding of VAT and tax treatment of supplier invoices.
